Last weekend, we went on a mini-vacation to Ogunquit, ME with our friends Jenny and Jake and their baby Nico. It was the first non-family related traveling we've done besides trips up to our cabin, and it felt great to get away! It was perfect going with another family because we were able to do some babysitting swaps so that each couple got some date time. The weather was great for April...sunny and in the 50's, and the little ones had a blast playing together on the beach!

Nico giving Zoe a kiss...

Nico, Zoe, and the shovels...

A glimpse of cooperative play, perhaps? Or more likely, one baby was about to grab the sifter from the other baby...

Playing in the sand with Mama...

Here's Zoe hoisting up a heavy rock. When Zoe was at the beach with Jenny, Jake, and Nico, she found a seashell and said, "Mama!" They thought this was so cute, and put the shell aside to bring to me. Then, Zoe lifted up a big rock and said, "Dada!" but they decided that it was too heavy to bring back to the hotel.

A smaller rock for Dada...

Zoe loved walking on the beach and finding things in the sand!

We had a great time in Ogunquit and hope to go again...it was the perfect off-season family vacation spot, with beach, town, restaurants, and cliff walks all within walking distance of our hotel!
