Well, Zoe has now been sick for over a week - poor little baby! We visited the pediatrician again today, and Zoe has lost 1.5 pounds since this began, which is significant when you only weigh 19 pounds to begin with!
We are in the midst of another storm - freezing rain right now, and we all have cabin fever after a week at home caring for a sick child. Thankfully, Zoe's spirits are better and she is able to sit down on the floor and play with toys for a while instead of needing to be held all the time. It was quite intense toting around a sick, cranky barnacle baby all day long, so we are relieved!
The doctor says Zoe is still "highly contagious," so we are rethinking our Christmas plan which was to go up to Ginnie's house in Worcester today and stay through Saturday. We don't want other people to get this horrible bug! Also, Zoe's cousin Asher is already up there, and he started getting sick yesterday with a runny nose and a fever, and the last thing Zoe needs is another sickness on top of this one.
On the bright side, we have plenty to eat, a warm, cozy house, and some quiet time together as a family!
